Social Media/Marketing Specialist

Description:Our Social Media/Marketing Specialist works with the Director of Marketing to support the activities of the Community Relations/Marketing Department by assisting in all phases of advertising, marketing, social media and written correspondence consistent with the organization's mission. Works closely with all departments in developing related materials and provides support as directed.
Duties:Responsible for development/maintaining business and community relations. Coordination and development of donation events within our trade area. ie: Scouts, Schools, Churches, Business. Assist with the Goodwill Ambassador program, scheduling volunteer hours, follow up on appreciation events. Conducts marketing surveys and follows up on responses. Conducts marketing research and compiles data. Writes and produces newsletters and all agency printed materials. Assists in development of advertising for all departments. Conducts tours for the agency. Assists in maintaining and updating agency website. Assists as community relations liaison to the public, preparation of presentations, and giving presentations in person when called upon. Join a local service group and be active in memberships which the agency belongs to, as directed. Responsible for marketing the agency through the use of social media.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Journalism. One to two years of professional work experience in journalism, marketing, and/or advertising is required. Must be proficient in writing with ample knowledge of grammar and sentence structure. Must be capable of organizing time, prioritizing and working on several projects within the same time period. Must have valid NC Drivers License, reliable transportation, personal vehicle insurance coverage and acceptable driving record. Must have clean criminal history. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
